Artist Vault

SOKO

the perfect blend of french cutesy tones and girly folk.

recommended to me by a good friend last year i looked her up and

she is definitely worthy of a place in your playlists.

soko makes paris magical all over again.

or if you're after something not so cutesy....

new artists is all well and good but there's

always that nostalgic noise in the back of my head, a song

i never knew the name of. until recently i thought i had

made up all these clever melodies.

alas, not.

and so i have collected an assortment of radio songs

the ones you heard and hummed but never knew the name of

Semisonic - secret smile

reef - place your hands

fleetwood mac - sweet little lies

the beautiful girls - periscopes

regina spektor - laughing with

snow patrol - open your eyes

the view- 5 rebeccas

nerina pallot - everybody's gone to war

but seriously, do check out soko (:

Big Up Jakwob

now most people are going to hate me for this but ever since i saw chase and status at radio 1's big weekend with benny i've adored dubstep and every trippy song i could get my hands on.

set the scene with jakwob

i found this song last night, for those of you that are impatient for songs to get going i recommend fast forwarding to 0:55 secs and listening to the next 15 seconds.

i can't imagine how exciting this would be live, and what sort of atmosphere it would create! amazing!!
enjoy it (:

7# the maccabees - toothpaste kisses
8# jason mraz - a beautiful mess
9# jose gonzales - heartbeats

first blog.

hello to all,
this will be a blog where i post my findings on the latest gems in music, and books.
and anything else i throw in really!
enjoy,

CHROMEO

i recently heard them on nme one saturday morning and fell in love.

dubbed as "a shameless return to the glistening, sex-saturated synth-pop which ruled the eighties", brothers P-Thugg and Dave 1 make hypnotising noise. check out their song 'needy girl' on their myspace:-
